He toki a Tāne is a partnership program to encourage community engagement and environmental stewardship in the Picton area.  Residents & businesses of Picton can nominate themselves &/or others as He toki a Tāne (Nature’s Champion).  An ideal candidate will be doing the work to help make Picton predator free, and providing a safe, healthy, and thriving environment for the native bird species.  Whether that be through urban garden trapping or planting native species and food sources for the native bird populations. The more details you can provide as to why your nominee should be named as He toki a Tāne, the more it helps us in the selection process!

Do you know an ideal candidate?  Nominate one today!

Nominations for this round are now closed!
